The City of Millington National Day of Prayer took place last Thursday evening in the sanctuary of 901 Church located at 8077 Wilkinsville Road. Millington Mayor Terry Jones welcomed the invited presenters and guests to the annual event that allows public prayers for many aspects of life in Millington, the surrounding areas, country and the world. The presentation of colors was done by the Millington Central Middle High School Color Guard of Noah Hollingsworth, Kyle Smith, Wyatt Barber, Jacob Lovejoy and CWO4 Antonio Franklin, USN (Ret.). The National Anthem was performed by the MCMHS Choir of Autumn Boykin, Imani Brock, Trinitee Dickerson, Allix Gordon, Joshua Harris, Bibiana Roblero Ortiz, Savannah Spearman and Lena Waldegg under the direction of Leah Thomas. After opening remarks from C.K. Reece, those in attendance heard from Thomas McGhee, Christian Moorlach, Rev. Kent Moorlach and Pastor O.C. Horton.
