The Millington Municipal Schools, an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer, request separate bids on the following:
1) Removal and replacement of new commercial grade carpet and linoleum tile for the first floor of the Civic Center, Bldg C, 8077 Wilkinsville Rd in Millington, TN. Approximately 6,000 sq ft in area.
2) Office furniture for approximately 10 work stations and 1 executive office.
Specifications may be obtained at the Millington Municipal Schools District Office, or calling (901) 873-5680. Sealed bids will be received at Millington Municipal Schools, 7965 Veterans Pkwy, Suite 102, Millington, TN 38053 until Monday, May 26, 2014 at 10 AM CDT, and opened immediately thereafter.
Bids will be awarded separately to one company with the lowest and best bid for the carpet project and one company for the furniture project. Bid reviews will be conducted within the established guidelines regarding equal employment opportunity and nondiscriminatory action based upon the grounds of race, color, sex, creed or national origin. Locally Owned Small Business firms, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) companies as well as other minority-owned and women-owned companies are encouraged to respond to all advertisements by the Millington Municipal Schools. The Municipal School Districts reserve the right to reject any or all bids, waive defects or informalities in bids and to make awards as deemed to be in its best interest. If awarded, awards will be made to the lowest and or best vendor.
