Millington Education Foundation’s Cary Vaughn holds up a MCHS Brick that will be on sale in November to help raise money for the organization.

The Millington Education Foundationwas able to give away nearly $20,000 because of the generous support of area businesses, civic groups, and individual donors.

As the foundation takes up the task again of refilling the coffers for next year, community members have an exciting new way to participate! Through the generous donation of Leonard Biggs, the owner of Biggs Construction, the Millington Education Foundation has acquired a limited number of vintage bricks from the demolition site at Millington Central High School. These bricks will have a metal plate attached, engraved with the following sentiment: “Building on a strong foundation-Millington proud.”

These commemorative bricks will be available for a donation of only $75, and the deadline for the first order is Nov. 10. These will be available for pick-up by Nov. 17. Own a piece of Millington’s proud history as you also help finance its promising future! These bricks would make a thoughtful gift for anyone who has a heart for Millington, including that favorite teacher or coach, as well as MCHS alumni, near and far. When others see this piece of history proudly displayed in your home or business, they will appreciate your willingness to support the ongoing work of the Millington Education Foundation.
