NEWS ALERT: Abandoned Antiques temporarily closes doors

Customers who receive text alerts from Abandoned Antiques got a different kind of message today.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control Abandoned Antiques is temporarily closed for walk-in traffic, but we ARE OPEN for CURBSIDE PICKUP.”

The Millington business will informed customers when they are allowed to reopen they will send another message out. One witness who tried to visit the establishment today said the Shelby County Health Department closed down the operation.

Abandoned Antiques was formerly Alison’s Alcove. The origin of the business started on 4792 Navy Road owned by David Barczak. A transition of leadership took place late in the summer at the new location in the former Cole’s building at 8232 Highway 51 North.

The new Abandoned Antiques has expanded with signature antiques, furniture, local art and man cave with a craft’s room, sports lounge and children’s area.

“If you’ve seen something you want to purchase give us a call ¡ 901-317-9137  We’ll gladly bring your purchase out to you or hold it for later pickup if necessary. Of course, we’ll text you when we reopen…”
