Opening Day 2021 for the Millington Trojans took place on the new turf of the historic USA Stadium. Joining the host Trojans were the FACS Crusaders.

In a thrilling back and forth contest, the visiting Crusaders edge Millington 7-5 in extra innings.

The Crusaders jumped out 1-0 in the first inning courtesy of a Matthew Riley RBI single. In the Trojans’ half of the opening inning, a pair of Millington batters crossed home plate. Trojan Tyler Jordan scored the first run of the season reaching base on a walk. The speedster stole second base leading to a throwing error allowing him to easily reach home to deadlock the game at 1-1

More good base running for the Trojans led to another run scoring to give Millington a 2-1 advantage heading into the second inning. After FACS tied the game at 2-2 in the second inning, Millington regained the lead in the bottom of the third when Jordan came home after hitting a leadoff single. The Crusaders tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the fifth inning when Kayden Hartunian executed a sacrifice fly. In the final three innings of action, FACS managed to outscore Millington 4-2 to earn the opening day victory.
