Greenwood AME Church, located at 8005 Donnell Road in Millington and pastored by Rev. Anthony Branch, will be hosting the 142nd Session of the West Tennessee Annual Conference. The conference will be held on Oct. 6-9 at the NSA Mid-South Conference on 5722 Integrity Street in Millington. Details can be found on the West Tennessee Conference website at www.ame.13.org As a staple in North Shelby County for more than 150 years, Greenwood is proud to bring a delegation of parishioners to the Millington/Rosemark area. Greenwood has partnered with local churches from the Millington, Arlington and Munford communities. Those churches are Mount Olive AME Church, Mount Sinai AME Church, Williams Chapel AME Church and Mount Herman AME Church. The 13th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is coming to Millington. “As we embark upon this spirit-filled event,” John Strong Jr., said, community engagement chairperson, “we are soliciting your prayers, presence and participation. Join us as we do ‘a new thing’ in the city of Millington.”
