Around the Bases

Early last week the Millington Lady Trojans welcomed District 15-2A rivals the Bolivar Central Lady Tigers to Miles Park for a doubleheader. Millington senior Erica Wright tried to leg out a single during the first game. The Lady Tigers were victorious twice in Flag City sweeping the double dip. Then on Saturday the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Lady Rebels took on the Covington Lady Chargers at Lady Rebel Softball Field. TRA jumped out early 5-0 including an Ali Naumann inside-the-park home run for the fifth run. The Lady Chargers rallied for three runs but came up short 5-3. Part of the action was Lady Rebel freshman Brooke Harrison on the base paths.
