Millington Library

Driver School coming to Millington

Memphis/Millington’s Rule the Road, Roadmaster Driver School will be held Aug. 19 at 8050 Singleton Avenue in Millington. The event will be held that Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To register, visit https://ruletheroadtennessee.com 

Millington Food Pantry

The Millington Food Pantry is located on the grounds of Millington First United Methodist Church at 8029 Wilkinsville Road, is available to qualified residents of 38053 living in Shelby County.  Hours of operation are each Tuesday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the third Saturday of each month 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Call 901-872-2771 to make an appointment.  Appointments are not made  in advance of the day the pantry is open.

CBC Monthly Meeting

The Millington City Beautiful Commission meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month at the Millington IDB Building located at 7965 Veterans Parkway. The public is welcomed to attend. 

Senior Exercise

The senior exercise club meets Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Baker Community Center located at 7942 Church Street in Millington. For more information, call 873-5770.

Goat Days Set for Sept. 9

The 33rd Annual International Goat Days Festival will be held Sept. 9 with the gates opening at 7 a.m. at the Millington Sports Complex located at 4885 Bill Knight Road. Genealogy Session

Genealogy sessions will be held Aug. 18 from 1-3 p.m. at Abandoned Antiques located at 8323 Highway 51 North, hosted by the River City Chapter, NSDAR.
