Futsal coming to Millington in 2025
Millington Parks and Recreation is proud to partner with Brazilian United for an indoor futsal clinic starting in January. Futsal is a form of indoor soccer and this clinic will teach you skills that you can take to outside soccer as well.

CBC Monthly Meeting
The Millington City Beautiful Commission meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month at the Millington IDB Building located at 7965 Veterans Parkway. The public is welcomed to attend.
Senior Club
The Millington Senior Citizen’s Club is meeting again Wednesdays at 10 a.m. with entertainment weekly. The club meets at the Baker Community Center located at 7942 Church Street. For more information, call 873-5770.
Christmas Parade hits primetime
The City of Millington presents Santa’s Workshop Christmas Parade on Thursday Dec. 5, at 6 p.m.
To be a participant in the parade, register online @millingtontn.gov and for more information, call Parks & Recreation at 873-5770. The staging for the parade will be located on Jack Huffman Blvd.
The parade lineup will start at 5 p.m., the intersection of Newport and Navy Road, the parade will travel along Navy Road from Newport to Church Street, turn left onto Church Street and end at Baker Community Center.
Senior Exercise
The senior exercise club meets Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Baker Community Center located at 7942 Church Street in Millington. For more information, call 873-5770.
Millington Food Pantry
The Millington Food Pantry is located on the grounds of Millington First United Methodist Church at 8029 Wilkinsville Road, is available to qualified residents of 38053 living in Shelby County. Hours of operation are each Tuesday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the third Saturday of each month 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Call 901-872-2771 to make an appointment. Appointments are not made in advance of the day the pantry is open.
Christmas at First Baptist
*Wonder of His Love: A Night of Worship at Millington First Baptist Church will be held Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. located at 5010 West Union Road in Millington.
*Millington First Baptist Church’s Light the Night will be held Dec. 6 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Bring your family and join in to celebrate the birth of Jesus and this Christmas season with live music, a petting zoo, cookie decorating, face painting and tons of activities for the children. This free event will have concessions to be sold at nominal cost. The church is located at 5010 West Union Road in Millington.
Santa coming to MPL
Storytime with Santa will be at the Millington Public Library on Dec. 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Library is located at 4858 Navy Road and for more information, call 872-1585.
Trojan Band Christmas Concert
The Millington Central Middle High School Christmas Concert will be held at the Performing Arts Center on Dec. 12 starting at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 at the door.
