Summer of Fun 2025
Summer of Fun Pre-K Play 2025 started June 6 in Lions Park with March in the Park Play. The Summer of Fun Pre-K Play is a free program offered by Millington Parks & Recreation and the Millington Public Library that provides games and activities developmentally appropriate to young children age 2 to 5. Each session will be from 11 a.m. to noon. Registration is required by visiting www.millingtontn.gov

Millington Pre-K Screening Coming
The Millington Early Learning Acadcemy Pre-K Screening has had a change of date at the MELA Multi-Purpose Room located at 3660 Shelby Road in Millington. For more information contact Georgette Farmer at gfarmer@millingtonschools.org
Due to ongoing construction at Millington Early Learning Academy, Millington Municipal Schoos is moving the Screening Day from May 8 to the new date of June 18.

NSD Monthly Meeting
North Shelby Democrats (NSD) will hold it’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The guest speaker will be Mickell M. Lowrey, County Commissioner. NSD meets at Olympic Steak and Pizza located at 8500 Wilkinsville Road, in Millington starting at 6:35 p.m. Arrive early to order dinner. Everyone is welcome. CBC Monthly Meeting
The Millington City Beautiful Commission meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month at the Millington IDB Building located at 7965 Veterans Parkway. The public is welcomed to attend.
Millington Food Pantry
The Millington Food Pantry is located on the grounds of Millington First United Methodist Church at 8029 Wilkinsville Road, is available to qualified residents of 38053 living in Shelby County.
Hours of operation are each Tuesday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the third Saturday of each month 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Call 901-872-2771 to make an appointment. Appointments are not made in advance of the day the pantry is open.
Craft & Vendor Show
The City of Millington Craft & Vendor Show will be held June 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Baker Community Center. Come out to support local markets and do some summer shopping. Updates will be available at millingtontn.gov or follow on Facebook with the City of Millington.
2025 Flag City Freedom Celebration
Celebrate America’s upcoming 249th birthday on July 2 at the Millington-Memphis Airport. Gates open at 5 p.m and fireworks will be shot about 9 p.m. For more information, call 873-5770.
