Career Fair coming to Millington Central

Millington Central High School will be hosting a community career fair.  The MCHS Career Fair not only will provide our students with first-hand knowledge of potential career paths, which can have a tremendous impact on a young person’s future, but it also provides exposure for your company/school. Craft and Vendor Fair set for March 26

On March 26 from 7  a.m. to 11 a.m., the 2022 Craft & Vendor Show will take place at the Baker Community Center located at 7942 Church Street. For more information on the event and the Pancake Breakfast, call 873-5770.

MEF Trivia Night  rescheduled for March 26

The Millington Education Foundation has rescheduled their Trivia Night fundraiser for Saturday, March 26 at 6 p.m. at the MCMHS cafeteria. Cost is $100/table of 8. 

All money raised goes back to the teachers of Millington Municipal Schools in the form of grants. MEF has given back over $120,000 in grants to our teachers in Millington Municipal Schools! Email Mark Healy at [email protected] to reserve a table.

Lightfoot Farms Event

On April 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Spring Celebration at Lightfoot Farms will be held. Local farmers market will feature fresh farm raised meat, produce, eggs, baked goods, artisan cheeses, jams, jellies and more. Needham to speak on Resiliency Grant

After two years of not meeting, the Creation Care Team at First United Methodist Church Millington is reviving the programming.  The first program will be held on Saturday, March 19. Tom Needham is coming to give a program on the Resiliency Grant. Friday, March 18, 8 p.m. through Monday, March 21, 6 a.m.: I-40 eastbound between 

Exit 6 (Warford Street) and Exit 8 (Austin Peay Highway) will have a temporary lane closure to allow for joint repair on the Wolf River Bridge.  One lane will remain open to traffic. Expect Delays Weather Permitting.

Young Life golf tournament set for May

Mark your calendars for May 13 for the annual Young Life Golf Tournament. The annual golf tournament helps raise funds to take kids to summer camp. This is also an opportunity to bring friends and family to see what God is up to in their communities through Young Life leaders. “We would love for you to come out and spend the day at Glen Eagle Golf Course in Millington with us.
