Millington Food Pantry
The Millington Food Pantry is located on the grounds of Millington First United Methodist Church at 8029 Wilkinsville Road, is available to qualified residents of 38053 living in Shelby County. Hours of operation are each Tuesday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the third Saturday of each month 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Call 901-872-2771 to make an appointment. Appointments are not made in advance of the day the pantry is open.
Veterans Parade Nov. 2
City of Millington Veterans Day Parade “Honoring All Who Served” will be held Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. Community Cookout will follow at the Millington VFW located at 4681 Cuba-Millington Road in Millington, sponsored by VFW Post 7175. Christmas Parade hits primetime
The City of Millington’s Christmas Tree Lighting & Pictures with Santa will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. with the Tree lightning scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Millington Fire Station located at 4836 Navy Road. CBC Monthly Meeting
The Millington City Beautiful Commission meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month at the Millington IDB Building located at 7965 Veterans Parkway. The public is welcomed to attend.
Senior Exercise

Fall Festival set for Oct. 26
The Millington Parks and Recreation and City of Millington are inviting the public out to the 2024 Fall Festival to be held Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Millington Discovery Nature Park located at 5152 Easley Street. There will be a costume contest, inflatables, hayrides, booth or treating, local vendors and much more. For more information, call 873-5770.
Shadowlands back at Jones Orchard
Jones Orchard’s tradition of terror and fear continues at 6880 Singleton Parkway. Kicking off earlier this month on Oct. 4, the attractions related to the season of Halloween like Shadowlands Festival of Fear will pick back up this weekend Oct. 18-19 from 7 to 11 p.m., and Oct. 20 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Then the haunted and festival areas will be in operation one more weekend Oct. 25-26 from 7 to 11 p.m. and from 7 to 9:30 on Oct. 27. The final night of fun and fear will be Halloween from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Futsal coming to Millington in 2025
Millington Parks and Recreation is proud to partner with Brazilian United for an indoor futsal clinic starting in January. Futsal is a form of indoor soccer and this clinic will teach you skills that you can take to outside soccer as well.

This six week clinic is for ages 4-16 and will take place at the Ed Haley Sports Complex gym at 4885 Bill Knight.
Santa’s Workshop set for Dec. 5
The City of Millington presents Santa’s Workshop Christmas Parade on Thursday Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.
To be a participant in the parade, register online @millingtontn.gov and for more information, call Parks & Recreation at 873-5770. The staging for the parade will be located on Jack Huffman Blvd.
The parade lineup will start at 5 p.m., the intersection of Newport and Navy Road, the parade will travel along Navy Road from Newport to Church Street, turn left onto Church Street and end at Baker Community Center.
MPD host Halloween event
The Millington Police Department will host a Trunk or Treat Oct. 31 from 5-8 p.m. at the Millington Police Department located at 7950 Memphis Avenue. For more information, contact Sgt. Booker at c.booker@millingtontn.gov
