TOPS Weekly Meeting
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets weekly at the Baker Community Center located at 7942 Church Street on Fridays from 9:30 to 10 a.m. TOPS is a non-profit weight-loss support group and is very affordable. Your first meeting is free. Everyone is welcome who wishes to lose weight. TOPS is available to men, women and children from age 7 to 100-plus. Go to TOPS.ORG for more information.
Millington Food Pantry
The Millington Food Pantry is located on the grounds of Millington First United Methodist Church at 8029 Wilkinsville Road, is available to qualified residents of 38053 living in Shelby County. Hours of operation are each Tuesday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the third Saturday of each month 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Call 901-872-2771 to make an appointment. Appointments are not made in advance of the day the pantry is open.
New Date for St. Williams Soccer
The St. Williams Catholic Church Knights of Columbus have rescheduled the Soccer Challenge because of weather and the new date is Sunday, Oct. 6 at 12:30 p.m. The event is on the church’s grass field behind the Family Life Center. This event is for boys and girls ages 9-14. All are welcomed to participate, even if your child doesn’t attend the church. The winners will advance to the Regional Soccer Challenge on a date to be announced.
CBC Monthly Meeting
The Millington City Beautiful Commission meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month at the Millington IDB Building located at 7965 Veterans Parkway. The public is welcomed to attend.
Senior Exercise
The senior exercise club meets Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Baker Community Center located at 7942 Church Street in Millington. For more information, call 873-5770.

Fall Festival set for Oct. 26
The Millington Parks and Recreation and City of Millington are inviting the public out to the 2024 Fall Festival to be held Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Millington Discovery Nature Park located at 5152 Easley Street. There will be a costume contest, inflatables, hayrides, booth or treating, local vendors and much more. For more information, call 873-5770.
