Arrest made in Millington Kroger incidents – Millington Star

Shellie Miles, 33, of Memphis, was arrested and charged with one count of robbery. According to Millington Police Department, she will also face charges in Bartlett and Tipton County.

Police said Miles’ teenage daughter was also in the car during the attacks and that her daughters’ friend was driving.

The arrest was made in connection with the attacks on two women in the Millington Kroger parking lot. The two women were attacked on earlier this month in the Kroger parking lot at seperate times.

Dena Hamilton was robbed and hit with a baseball bat as she loaded groceries into her car. She said a woman asked to borrow her cell phone before the attack.

Lareda Thurman said she and her unborn child were threatened by three people in a dark-colored Honda.

In Tipton County
The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division detectives have identified a suspect in the Jan. 11 vandalism on Watson Road and residential burglary and theft on Wood Hollow Cove.

During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Shellie Denise Miles, 33 of 1793 Walters Street in Memphis as one of the multiple suspects responsible in the cases. Miles has had warrants signed in the cases for Vandalism Over $500, Theft of Property Under $500 and Aggravated Burglary. Miles will face the Tipton County charges once she is released from Shelby County where she faces an assortment of similar charges from multiple agencies. Detectives are still investigating the cases and do anticipate additional suspects being charged.
