Munford Cougar Deon Banks defends a Bartlett ball handler last week in the Munford Gymnasium. In what could be a Region 7-3A Boys Basketball Tournament preview, the Bartlett Panthers traveled to the Munford Gymnasium to take on the Cougars. The contest was competitive throughout Jan. 19 with the visiting Panthers prevailing 41-35. Bartlett managed to take a 23-20 advantage into the locker room after a three-pointer at the buzzer. The Cougars behind the shooting of Domonique Bell outscored Bartlett 7-5 in a slow-pace thrid quarter.
With the Panthers nursing a 1-point lead into the fourth quarter, Bartlett was able to use defense and good foul shooting to outscore Munford 13-8.
