News came out of Nashville Monday that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has opened an investigation into the Millington Police Department after money went missing from the evidence room last week.
TBI agents were contacted by Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich to investigate a complaint of missing money which had been stored at the police department.
There was no comment from the District Attorney’s office because of the ongoing investigation. Reports say, the events of the missing money happen around Aug. 20 at the MPD.
