Greetings from the World of Real Estate with Julè. Sometimes we take for granted the people that we are accustomed to seeing on a regular basis. Each of us have a limited time on this earth. What we do with this time is very important not only to ourselves but to those with whom we encounter even if only for a moment. It is not too late to make positive changes in your life. Do you need to make amends with someone? Ask forgiveness and forgiving can make all the difference in lives.
There are times we may have to swallow our pride but it is worth it. How do you want to be remembered?
This week we say goodbye to a dear friend, Billy Owen, from the Strand Theatre here in Millington. Billy has passed on from this life here on earth to his eternal life. Billy ran the country and gospel music show for 38-plus years. He gave many people the opportunity to sing/perform that they may not have had otherwise. Billy also allowed an occasional benefit to be held at the Strand when there was a need where we could pitch in and help that person or family. I met Billy 25 or so years ago when he allowed my then 8 year old daughter to sing with the band. We sang with them for many years after and met some fine people that gathered at the Strand for gospel music on Friday night and country music on Saturday night. His devotion to music allowed others to bring joy to so many people over the years.
May God bless his family and our community as we adjust. We will never forget our dear friend, Billy Owen.
He touched so many of our lives with his music and we will miss him dearly.
