The Millington Exchange Club Mystery Dinner Theater was held on Feb. 15. The play Hickory Dickory Dock, was performed by Millington Central Drama students. A silent auction was held and the club also handed out awards for Officer of the Club. The awards went to Leanna Dagen (right) and Tia Lord (left) for Exchangites of the Year presented by Chuck Hurt Jr.

Month of April
Millington Airport Authority Board of Commissioners Meetings are scheduled at 3:30 p.m. every third Tuesday at Millington Regional Jetport. For more information, call 873-5796.

Jordan’s Thrifts, Gifts & Java located at 6646 Highway 51 North by Plantation Oaks Hotel will be starting classes on Jan. 6 from 6-8 p.m. for the following classes: Domestic Violence, Shelter from the Storm (Overcoming Sexual Abuse) and Celebrate Recovery (Overcoming Addictions). City of Munford, The recycling container is located at the south end of Haddad’s Department Store parking lot on Crigger Circle.  Only newsprint, corrugated cardboard and plastics are collected at this site.  Additional materials are collected at the Tipton County Recycling Center located at the landfill on Highway 51. Computers may be recycled free of charge at Expertek, 70 Munford Avenue.

The Library Boosters are having their next book sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Millington Civic Center.  All proceeds go to help the Library.  For more information, call Bitha Luze at 872-3635.

V&V Variety located at 5102 Easley Street in Millington will be hosing a grand opening at it’s new location. The business of 14 years moved in July and will celebrate with the community this Saturday from 10 am. to 6 p.m. with food, fun, refreshments and Easter basket. For more information, call 873-2006.

Citywide Tree Give Away will be held Saturday at Baker Community Center at 7942 Church Street from 8:30 to 11 a.m. The event is sponsored by Millington City Beautiful. The trees being given away are Washington Hawthorne and Native Sweet Pecan. For more information, call 873-5770.

April 8
Millington Quilters Guild every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon in the Oak Room located 7942 Church Street. Weekly activities and projects are developed for all levels of quilters. This group makes several items to give back to groups such as veterans, families in need, those injured overseas, and children’s hospital’s.

April 12
Volunteers are needed for the citywide Litter Pick-Up sponsored by the Millington City Beautiful Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Aycock Park located at 7330 Renda. Volunteers will receive lunch and a T-shirt. For more information, e-mail [email protected] or call 873-5770.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be held April 12 at the Millington Masonic Lodge located at 7964 Highway 51 North in Millingtonright next to Grand Buffet from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. There is a cost. Egg-stra fun awaits you at this family style breakfast. Enjoy scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, orange juice, milk, coffee and water as you await the arrival of the Easter Bunny. A special complimentary photo with the Bunny in your Easter best for a small fee. Millington Elementary is having a School Carnival April 12. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. located at 6445 William Osteen Drive (north of Navy Road off of Bethuel). There will be concessions, inflatables, games, vendors and silent auction. The event will  go on rain or shine.

Easter Egg Hunt April 12 at Hampton Memorial United Methodist Church at 7835 Armour Road, Millington, 1-3 p.m. All activities will be free. Easter Egg Hunt will start at 2 p.m. If it rains, all games and activities will be inside. Free refreshments provided. For more information, call 872-2349.

Kidz Easter Celebration Egg Hunt will be held April 19 at 1 p.m. for ages infant to 10. The event will be held at Munford Baptist Church located at 1253 Munford Avenue rain or shine. For more information, call 837-6325.

Month of May
If anyone is nterested in joining Millington’s Relay for Life and support the American Cancer Society, contact Cathy Pike. The group needs teams – entertainment and vendors this year. Day of the main event is May 17 at Aycock Park in Millington. Event will be held from noon until midnight this year. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will move the event inside. May 1
The National Day of Prayer “Pray for America: In His Name The Nations Will Put Their Home,” will be held May 1 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Harvell Civic Center located at 8977 Wilkinsville Road in Millington. Quito Community Center
The Quito Community Center located at 4593 Quito-Drummonds Road hosts Tuesday night Line Dance Lessons from 7 to 9 p.m. There is a fee. For more information, call 835-3302.
