*The American Legion and Auxiliary holds monthly meetings at the Baker Center starting at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month. On the first Saturday of the summer months the Auxiliary have been at the Farmers Market informing the community about our projects/programs that help our Veterans. *The Millington Lions Club meets at Olympic Steakhouse in Millington every second and fourth Tuesday at noon. The Lions Clubs works around the world for visually impaired and hearing impaired. The public is welcome to join the Club members and to make additional inquiries.

*The EA chapter is here in Millington. Emotions Anonymous International. Emotions Anonymous (EA) exists to support individuals with emotional difficulties in their efforts to live a more manageable life by using the Emotions Anonymous Program of recovery. The Mid-South Camaro Club “Riding For a Cause” presents the Riverfront Car Show at Tom Lee Park Saturday in Memphis. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a fee. The RezWomen as they present a fall fashion show with dinner and entertainment on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Restoration Church, 60 East Main Street, Munford. There are cost for tickets for the dinner and show for adults and for children – with no family paying more than $40. Fashions will be provided by area merchants and door prizes will be given. Millington Public Library Pet Expo will be held Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the library located at 4858 Navy Road in Millington. Meet and greet some new furry friends from pet rescue groups across the area, and see if you are eligible to take one home with you. Donations of items and cash accepted. Mission Yard Sale will be held Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Go Getaway Bed & Breakfast located at 126 Tipton Street South in Munford. Several items will be available like bed set, karaoke player, baby items and more. All proceeds will go to the Mission Trip to Haiti. For more information, call 881-8500.

The Last Friday of every month come join for a night of dance. Ages are 10 and up and children 15 and under to be accompanied by an adult. Bring a snack to share and parents are welcome. KICKs(Kids in Christ the King), is a program for youths and the Fall Semester starts on Sept. 7. It will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and is for children ages 3 to 17. The 27th Annual International Goat Days Festival will be held Sept. 9-10 at USA Stadium located 4351 Babe Howard Blvd. in Millington.
