The Millington Lions Club meets at Olympic Steakhouse in Millington every second and fourth Tuesday at noon. The Lions Clubs works around the world for visually impaired and hearing impaired. The public is welcome to join the Club members and to make additional inquiries.

The Millington Quilters Guild meets every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Maple Room located at 7942 Church Street. Weekly activities and projects are developed for all levels of quilters. This group makes several items to give back to groups such as veterans, families in need, those injured overseas, and children’s hospital’s.
Millington Airport Authority Board of Commissioners Meetings are scheduled at 3:30 p.m. every third Tuesday at Millington Regional Jetport. For more information, call 873-5796.
The Exchange Club of Millington meets at Old Timer’s Restaurant in Millington at noon every second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Guest are always welcomed. For more information, call 872-8888.
Soul Out Ministries’ Hot Nutritional Meal are served every Thursday at the Baker Community Center at 7942 Church Street from noon to 1 p.m. The program is a local non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible. Sarge’s Okinawan Freestyle Martial Arts will started April 1 at Baker Community Center in Millington. The American Wado-Ryu Federation International Hall of Fame Inductee Shihan R.L. “Sarge” Covin will be the instructor on Monday and Wednesdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The classes are free for children ages 5-18. The Lucy Garden Club will host a meeting Jan. 4. The guest speaker will be Tom Mashour, (also a member of the club), a well know vegetable grower. His topic will be “Growing Onions in the Mid-South.” The onion has been cultivated as far back as history allows. The Ancient Egyptians and Asians have been known to write poetry about this tasty plant. Come and learn some information about onion growing. The Club meets at the Lucy Wedding Chapel at 6185 Chase Road in Millington. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. with a guest speaker followed by refreshments and than the business meeting. Jan. 9 The Millington Education Foundation’s Team Trivia Night is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2016 with doors opening at 6 p.m. at the Baker Community Center. Trivia begins at 6:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by Wednesday Jan. 6 and call Mark Healy at 849-3866 or e-mail him at markhealy@rittermail. Om to reserve your team’s table. Team will be 6 to 8 people with the cost for team $100. There will be 10 rounds of 10 questions per round. Each round will have a specific category.
You are encouraged to bring you own food and drink. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the building. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Millington Education Foundation. For more rules and information, contact Mark Healy at 849-3866.
