Chick-fil-A located at 8492 Highway 51 North (www.facebook.com/cfamillington/) is conducting Spirit Night for Millington Municipal Schools from 5 to 8 p.m.

There will be 10 percent of the mobile sales being donated to Millington Central High School, E.A. Harrold Elementary, Millington Middle School and Millington Elementary School.

Month of February

Have a loved one with a mental disorder? There is hope starting Monday Feb. 3. The Tipton County chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness will sponsor a free family-to-family education class. This is for friends and family of persons with brain disorders at Atoka City Hall located at 334 Atoka-Munford Road in Atoka for eight Mondays at 2-4 p.m. Caregivers will learn how to support loved ones while maintaining their own well-being. Pre-registration required. Call 355-8758 or 616-7408.

CITY OF MILLINGTON

Registration for the upcoming 2020 Millington Parks and Recreation Baseball, Softball and T-Ball season for ages 4-14 began February 1 at 8 a.m. and will end on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 6 p.m. All registration will be done online at www.millingtontn.gov. You will have to pay your fees at Baker Community Center or by calling 873-5770 during normal business hours.

Cost is $75 if you live within the city limits, $85 if you live outside of the city limits. You have until noon on Monday, March 2 to pay your fees. After that, you will have to pay a $25 late fee. The 2020 season will start with practices in March, games in May and will attempt to be over by July 4 although the city does not promise anything due to weather. Hour Of Personal Empowerment (HOPE)

You are invited to join HOPE to take a journey. Come visit for a therapeutic, educational, wellness focus group with the mission to reflect release and rejuvenate hope of the mind and spirit.

This will take place at Holy Faith United Ministries located at 7997 Martha Road in Millington with Pastor Orlando G. Hughes. It takes place every Monday at 6 p.m. beginning October 7. Feb. 22

Trivia Night benefiting the Cassy Memorial Scholarship will be held Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. in the Millington Central High School Cafeteria located at 8050 West Street. There cost is $100 a table with up to 8 participants. Bottled water will be available for sale. You may bring drinks/snacks for your table (no alcohol). The Cassy Memorial Scholarship was developed by Joanna and Adam Blankenship in honor of their daughter Cassy who passed in 2016 after a battle with brain cancer.
