The Millington Lions Club meets at Olympic Steakhouse in Millington every second and fourth Tuesday at noon. The Lions Clubs works around the world for visually impaired and hearing impaired. The public is welcome to join the Club members and to make additional inquiries.

West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church is inviting all to their Sunday morning worship services. The subject of the worship services during January, 2015, is Stewardship. Rev. James Hamblin will be delivering the message each Sunday morning at 11 a.m.

The NSA Mid-South Fleet and Family Support Center and Unemployment Eliminators are hosting a Veterans Job Fair at the NSA Mid-South Conference Center on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two flyers are attached, one for local businesses that may have openings and want to register for a booth at the job fair, and the other flyer targeting job seekers. Any Chamber members who may have positions available if you would like to register for a booth contact Jennie at 678-863-0425. Please post the flyer regarding those who may be seeking employment to help spread the word about the job fair, which is open to the public. The Chamber will have a table at the job fair, where we will be able to provide information about Chamber membership, as well as information about assistance with starting a new business.

Southwest Tennessee Community College is hosting a four-week baseball camp starting Jan. 11. Southwest Tennessee Head Coach George Sykes will direct the program in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy. Classes are available for players in grades 1-12 and are limited to six players per coach. Sessions are offered in advanced hitting, pitching, catching, fielding and baserunning. Space is limited.
