Chick-fil-A located at 8492 Highway 51 North (www.facebook.com/cfamillington/) is conducting Spirit Night for Millington Municipal Schools from 5 to 8 p.m.
There will be 10 percent of the mobile sales being donated to Millington Central High School, E.A. Harrold Elementary, Millington Middle School and Millington Elementary School.
Month of March
Have a loved one with a mental disorder? There is hope starting Monday Feb. 3. The Tipton County chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness will sponsor a free family-to-family education class. This is for friends and family of persons with brain disorders at Atoka City Hall located at 334 Atoka-Munford Road in Atoka for eight Mondays at 2-4 p.m. Caregivers will learn how to support loved ones while maintaining their own well-being. Month of April
The Atoka BBQ Fest will be back again in 2020. The contest will take place in Atoka on April 3-4 at Nancy Lane Park, located at 118 Atoka Park Avenue, on the south side of the Park. The contest will again be sanctioned by the Memphis Barbeque Network, under the MBN’s newly updated competition structure.
Returning in 2020 is the Kids Cook-Off, Corn Hole Tournament, Mayor’s Pie Challenge, Kids Fun Zone & Vendors. Visit atoka.municipalcms.com for more information

Hour Of Personal Empowerment (HOPE)
You are invited to join HOPE to take a journey. Come visit for a therapeutic, educational, wellness focus group with the mission to reflect release and rejuvenate hope of the mind and spirit.
This will take place at Holy Faith United Ministries located at 7997 Martha Road in Millington with Pastor Orlando G. Hughes. It takes place every Monday at 6 p.m. beginning October 7. *The annual Millington Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will have tickets on sale soon. The event will take place at Glen Eagle on May 15.
March 13-14
The First United Methodist Church is having a churchwide yard sale on March 13 and 14 located at 8029 Wilkinsville Road, Millington inside the Flame Center. Friday’s sale is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday’s sale is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds go towards local missions. For more information, call 872-2609.
March 21
Forest Drive Civic Club (Shelby Forest Area) located at 869 Fite Road in Memphis will hosting its 25th Annul Sportsman Dinner. On the menu will be wild (and tame) game, side dishes and desserts that Saturday March 21. Dinner is scheduled for 5 p.m. ($10 donation). Silent Auction is from 5- 7:30 p.m. Special Drawings will take place and all tickets may be purchased at the door.
April 7
The 15th Annual Travel Fair at NSA Mid-South will be held Tuesday April 7. It’s open to all area businesses – this is an vent to promote your property and products to the Navy Mid-South community that day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Seeking sponsors and vendors who would like to reach prospective customers and build a lucrative military customer base. April 14
The 2020 Taste of Millington presented by the Millington Rotary Club will be held April 14 at the N-82 Gymnasium from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Make plans to attend and check out the Taste of Millington Facebook page to find out how to be a part of the tradition.
