The Tipton-Rosemark Academy F.A.M.E. will bring to stage its  Fall Drama Arsenic and Old Lace starting Nov. 2 for two weekends on the campus. The first weekend times are Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. The next weekend, Nov. 8-9, the production will hit the stage at  7 p.m. that Friday and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday.tra-fall-2013-play-10-31-300x232-1346716

The Covington Exchange Club and the South Tipton Exchange Club is A Field of Flags To Benefit the Exchange Club – Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. A display of American flags with each flag representing the life of a patriot. Whether it be a War Veteran, Active Military personnel, National Guard Member, Reservist, Firefighter, or Law Enforcement Officer who serves in our community today, or in memory of those who have served in the military of their country, or someone who has lost their life in the line of duty. Nov. 1-14 flags will be displayed in Atoka, Brighton, Covington, Munford, and Rosemark. For more information call, 476-1515

Tops (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly)  meets on Fridays from 9-11 a.m. at Millington Community Center. Come join us the group to have fun. For more information, call Doris Landerman at 573-8536.

The Millington Family YMCA’s Youth Coed Basketball League, ages 4 to 15 yrs. Begin registration’s Sept. 1 through Nov. 1. Participants will receive jersey, shorts and a trophy or try the Biddy Basketball, ages 2-3. Structured Parent/Child Interaction where child will learn introductory skills in the sport of basketball. Motor development will also be emphasized, 30 minute sessions (Time TBA). Participants receive an official t-shirt and achievement trophy. The Exchange Club of Millington meets at Old Timer’s Restaurant in Millington at noon every second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Guest are always welcomed. For more information, call 872-8888.

Oct. 31
The Millington Arts and Recreation Department presents the Halloween Carnival at the Millington Civic Center Gym Oct. 31 from 5-7:30 p.m. with games and contests. There is no charge. Concessions will be sold and for more information, call 873-5770.

Nov. 1
Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band with special guest Danny Rodriquez and Scott Lobaido will be in concert with proceeds helping to build a “smart home” for Cpl. Christian Brown. After leading 163 combat missions as squad leader, Brown stepped on an Improvised Explosive Devise in Kajaki, Afghanistan. He sustained multi-trauma to both hands and arms, as well as lost both his legs. The concert benefiting the Munford resident will be held Friday, Nov. 1 at the Memphis Convention Center. Nov. 2
The Milllington Library Boosters will have their next book sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location is the Book Sale Room at the Civic Center on Wilkinsville Road.  This will be the last sale until February 2014. Nov. 4
The Lucy Garden Club is fortunate to Have Linda Lanier, the “Hydrangea Lady” as the guestspeaker. Her topic, of course, will be “Hydrangeas, Growing for Success.” Lanier is a co-founder and president of the Mid-South Hydrangea Society and a hydrangea afficionado.  Member and past president of the Memphis Area Master Gardeners Association, Memphis Herb Society, member of the Hosta, Horticulture and Daylily societies.  She speaks to numerous garden clubs and garden shows in the Mid-South about hydrangeas.  Loves to travel with friends to England, France and eastern U.S. to photograph hydrangeas. The Lucy Garden Club meets at the Lucy Wedding Chapel at 6185 Chase Road in Lucy. The meeting starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. with a guestspeaker followed by refreshments and than the business meeting. Nov. 6 Kids in Christ the King is a youth program at West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  It is a program for youth ages 3 to 17 years old. It will meet on Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. and the theme for dinner is
