The Fourth Annual Heritage Festival at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park will be held Saturday Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Shelter No. 3 located at 910 Riddick Road in Millington. Rev. Jay Mooney of Hot Springs, Ark., will be the guest speaker on Sunday, Oct 11 at the 10:45 a.m. Worship Service. He is the Executive Director of CompACT (Compassion in Action) for the Assemblies of God. This agency directs several family services: a Hillcrest Children’s Home, a home for unwed teen moms, a transition program – adolescents to young adults without parents and advocacy for placing children with foster parents. This Fall
West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church will be having a series of sermons based on the book of Romans. The title of the series is ‘The Gospel of God.’ The sermons will be on Sundays at 11 p.m., ending the middle of November. The sermons will be delivered by Rev. James Hamblin.
