Oct. 9-11
Stampede USA Family Fair & Music Festival will be held Oct. 9-11 at USA Stadium in Millington. For more information and advance tickets, visit www.stampedeusa.com

Oct. 17
The Fourth Annual Heritage Festival at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park will be held Saturday Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Shelter No. 3 located at 910 Riddick Road in Millington. It’s free to the public and will feature Civil War Re-enactment, living history, 18th century camp, games, food, live music and several other vendors. For more information, call 876-5215.

Oct. 11
Rev. Jay Mooney of Hot Springs, Ark., will be the guest speaker on Sunday, Oct 11 at the 10:45 a.m. Worship Service. He is the Executive Director of CompACT (Compassion in Action) for the Assemblies of God.  This agency directs several family services:  a Hillcrest Children’s Home, a home for unwed teen moms, a transition program – adolescents to young adults without parents and advocacy for placing children with foster parents.  You are invited to attend this service with the church family. Oct. 15
The National Active & Retired Federal Employees Association, Chapter 1382 meeting will be held at noon, Thursday, Oct. 15 at Ryan’s, 8165 Highway 51 North  in Millington.  The guest speaker will be Stacie Ledridge, Field Service Representative, Federal Employees Program for BlueCross/BlueShield of Tennessee.  She will discuss the upcoming benefit/rate changes for 2016.  For more information, call Carolyn Cribbis at 413-7123.

Oct. 31
Fall Festival / Halloween Carnival will be held Saturday, Oct. 31. Join the fun at the Annual Fall Festival / Halloween Carnival at the Millington Farmers’ Market on Halloween from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at View Facility located at 5152 Easley Street. For more information, call 873-5770.

Football Season
The Warrior Lounge at the VFW Post 7175 is morphing into a sports lounge on Monday and Thursday nights. ‘Football Frenzie’ is the theme. Come out to the VFW and root on your team. For more information, call 872-7175.

Holiday Season
Bring holiday joy to young patients of Le Bonheur and the many visitors to the Enchanted Forest at the Pink Palace! We are now accepting applications for anyone wishing to decorate a gingerbread house for the Gingerbread Village, sponsor a fluffy penguin for the Penguin Pond or decorate a tree for the Festival of Trees. The Enchanted Forest, Memphis’ oldest holiday tradition, will open on Saturday, Nov. 14, and run through Thursday, Dec. 31, at the Pink Palace Museum. This Fall
West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church will be having a series of sermons based on the book of Romans. The title of the series is ‘The Gospel of God.’  The sermons will be on Sundays at 11 p.m., ending the middle of November. The sermons will be delivered by Rev. James Hamblin.
