Cardinals Rule the Nest

The Brighton Middle Cardinals and Munford Middle Cougars renewed their rivalry last Thursday in the Munford Middle School Gymnasium. The Cardinals traveled back home with victories for the Lady Cardinals and Cardinals.In girls’ action, Brighton proved why they are one of the best teams in West Tennessee seizing control early and earning a 53-11 victory. The boys’ game was closer with the Cardinals losing a double digit lead because of a third quarter comeback from the Cougars.
The game was finally tied at 32-32 in the fourth quarter. The contest had two more ties before Brighton hit a couple of late shots to emerge 40-36 victors.
