AMVETS Post 62 Memphis Commander, Lee Buchschacher honors World War II veteran John Abbott on the occasion of his 100th birthday on November 4 at the VFW Post 7175 in Millington. Buchschacher awarded the veteran who served in the Merchant Marines, the Navy and the Army with an AMVETS challenge coin. The special birthday party was hosted by VFW Post 7175 Millington located at 4681 Cuba-Millington. The event was attended by members of the VFW, the American Legion, the DAV and American Veterans known as AMVETS.
