After picking up a 6-2 win over Crosstown, the Millington Lady Trojans were back in action at Hornet Field the following day. The Lady Trojans welcomed the Memphis Central Lady Warriors to Millington and sent them back to the Bluff City defeated 9-0. The Lady Trojans jumped out 2-0 at halftime with goals from Christina Cook and Rilee Ervin.
Cook blasted a shot into the net off a bounce from 30 yards out. Ervin connected on a rebound just before the halftime whistle. Millington picked up seven goals in the second half. Millington’s record improved to 7-3-2 on the season, only giving up 19 goals in those 11 games.
All the Lady Trojans to score in the Central contest were Koreena Bedford with a hat-trick, Cook and Ervin with 2 goals each and Keria McGhee and Lexi Thompson adding a goal each. (photos by Thomas Sellers Jr.)
