The Millington Area Chamber of Commerce held its first monthly luncheon of 2023 back on Jan. 10 at Plantation Oaks Suites & Inn located at 6656 Highway 51 North. Before addressing the new events and plans for the new year, Chamber Executive Director Terry Roland had to take care of some business from 2022. The Chamber’s most prestigious honor, Hall of Honor, award was finally given to Dr. Steven Boatwright of Boatwright Pharmacy. Back in December, Boatwright missed the annual Chamber Gala because of attending a work-related event. He humbly accepted the honor on behalf of his family, friends and legacy of his father the late Leroy Boatwright. Also at the luncheon the guest speaker was Teresa Phelps with The Restoration Shoppe. Lunch was catered by Tops Bar B Que.
