Celebrate A Munford Kind of Christmas!
Winners Announced

The city of Munford organized a myriad of activities for the community this Christmas season and it was evident by the participation that the events were favored and enjoyed. Coloring Contest The Munford Fire Department sponsored a Fire Coloring Contest for school-aged children grades Pre-K through first, second and third, and fourth and fifth.  The winners for the categories respectively were Amy Jones, Isabella Gilman and Mirranda Reed.  These girls received a small gift and were given a ride in the fire truck for the Munford Christmas parade on December 6th. Winners in the Munford Fire Department coloring contest are (left to right):  Mirranda Reed, 4-5th grade; Amya Jones, PreK-1st, Isabella Gilman, 2-3rd; with Fire Chief Alan Barkelew Parade Entry Contest Float entries in the Munford Christmas Parade were judged by a team of officials who determined the outcome based upon the originality, music, lighting and theme.  The winners were Munford First United Methodist Church Puppets of Praise, No. 1; Garland Baptist Church, No.  2 and Tipton County Bulldogs, No. 3. Munford First United Methodist Church, 1st place float entry in the Munford Christmas parade. Munford Business Decorating Contest Businesses located in the City of Munford were encouraged to decorate their store fronts in holiday finery and were judged on December 5th.  Winners chosen were Syndicated Ink, No. 1; Angels Closet, No. 2 and Vision Music, No. 3. Syndicated Ink placed first amongst the entries with their theme of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” for the Munford Business Decorating Contest. Munford Home Decorating Contest Many homes located in the City of Munford were judged on December 11th making a difficult task for the judges.  The winners were:  the Fosters, 113 Windchase Drive, No. 1; the Ridges, 600 Beaver Road, No. 2 and the Kons, 29 Gabrielle  Cove. The Fosters, 113 Windchase Drive, were the 1st place winner in the Munford Home Decorating Contest
