Millington Central High School Band Director Kreston Smith provided holiday sounds from his saxophone last Thursday night prior to the City of Millington Tree Lighting. Smith’s wife and children were one of the first families to pose in front of the tree. The public was invited out for the ceremony on the lawn of the Millington Public Library located at 4858 Navy Road. Millington Mayor Terry Jones had the honors of requesting the lights be activated for the 2020 Christmas season in the city of Millington. Santa was not present this year with COVID-19 precautions. But the Jolly Man was able to make it in town Saturday for the City of Millington Christmas Parade. For more information, call Parks & Recreation at 873-5770.
