EDITOR’S NOTE: The leadership of Lucy Baptist Church located at 4005 Lucy Road in Millington has sent out a letter to invite the public to it’s 150th anniversary celebration next month.
Dear Lucy Baptist Family and Friends,
Lucy Baptist Church celebrates our 150th anniversary on Sept. 19-20. God has graciously blessed our church and we rejoice in His goodness and faithfulness.
We are planning a celebration to commemorate this milestone in our church’s history. Below is the schedule for our celebration:
Saturday, September 19
6 p.m. Worship Service Dessert Fellowship following
Sunday, September 20
9 a.m. Brunch 10:30am Worship Service (No Meal)
Former staff member, Robert Hooker, pastor of Huber Heights First Baptist Church in Huber Heights, Ohio will preach in both services. We are preparing a slide presentation of pictures from the past. If you have photos to share, please send them by Sept. 5 and label with names in the photo, year made and your name. Photos will be returned following the 150th celebration.
If you’re unable to attend, we’d love to have a brief video greeting of approximately 30 words to share. We’d also appreciate a written testimony of how the Lord used LBC to impact your life. If you plan to come, please let us know by Sept. 10 which service you will attend so we can plan for seating and food. The gym will serve as our overflow room to help us maintain COVID-19 guide-lines.
We look forward to seeing many of you as well as hearing from you as we cele-brate God’s faithfulness to our church for 150 years!
