Star Staff Reports

The Millington Kiwanis Club, in conjunction with Millington Central High School and the Band Booster Club, is planning and coordinating the construction of a new, permanent concession stand on the visiting side at MCHS Football Stadium. For many years, there has been a need for a structure on the visitors’ side of the field to provide services for our guests. The new facility will be equipped with bathrooms, running water and electricity.

Last fall, the temporary concession stand was removed from the stadium. It was used by the Band Booster Club to raise funds in support of the High School band. The new facility will continue to be used by the Band Booster Club. The school administration is looking to increase the size and popularity of our band. This new facility and the booster club will help with that endeavor.

In order to make this a reality, the Millington Kiwanis Club is coordinating as much volunteer labor as possible. We are pursuing ways to keep material costs to a minimum. At this time we estimate the costs to be close to $20,000. We are asking for support from the Alumni to make this possible.

Make all contributions to:

Thank you for your consideration and support. We are trying to complete this project by Aug 23.
