The River City Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution set up a display at the Millington Library in celebration of the 229th Anniversary of the Constitution of the United States. Members of the chapter were on hand to pass out bookmarks, pencils, flags, literature on the Constitution and candy to Library patrons. Registrar, Paula Raines was available to answer questions about membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution to interested women .  Many young children came and visited the display area. River City presented to the Library Director, Arlene Griffin a book titled “We the People” written by Lynn Cheney to add to the Library collection. Members visited the Millington Fire Department to show their appreciation to the firefighters for all their hard work and presented them with a cupcake tray.

On Friday, River City Chapter members will visit residents of Millington Health Care Center, where they will sing with them, serve cookies and lemonade and present gifts to them as part of the Constitution week activities.
