Location: Agricenter, corner of Walnut Grove Road and Germantown Parkway in East Memphis. Tickets: Adults (ages 13 and over), $10 at gate; Youth (ages 5-12), $5 at gate; Children (ages 4 and under), free. Midway wrist bands: Good for unlimited rides on the midway; $25 at the gate.  Pre-purchase at Kroger and online at DeltaFest.com for $20.  Tuesday is $10 wrist band day. Family Packs: Family packs include two adult tickets, two youth tickets, and two midway wrist bands. An $80 dollar value for $64 at Kroger or online at www.DeltaFest.com. Parking: Main entrances for parking off Germantown Parkway and Walnut Grove Road.  $5 at entrance.  Free parking and shuttle off Walnut Grove near Farm Rd on Friday to Monday the first weekend and Friday to Sunday the second weekend. About the Delta Fair & Music Festival The Delta Fair & Music Festival has been entertaining families since 2007. The organizers of the Delta Fair & Music Festival strive to produce an annual event which is exciting, interactive and educational. By producing a safe, clean, and family friendly event, organizers are working to bring communities together in order to celebrate and promote the rich art, music and history of the Delta. Special Attraction “Meet and Greet with Peyton List – who stars as “Emma” on Disney’s Hit Comedy “Jessie”: Public Meet and Greet will be by the Ford Main Stage on Sunday August 31st at 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. And Monday September 1st at 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Get a signed photo at the Delta Fair & Music Festival. Only her official head shot photos will be signed and will be available for $5 each at meet and greet line. Star of the Fair vocal competition: Preliminary competitions will be held Sunday August 31st and Monday September 1st.  On Tuesday Sept. 2nd, Top finalists will compete in the Junior and Senior divisions to determine Star of the Fair winner for 2013. The Star of the Fair winner will be determined by judging and crowd response and will be awarded $1,000 cash prize for the Senior division and $350 for the Junior division. Demolition Derby: Saturday, August 30th starting at 3 p.m.; Derby Pros destroy each other’s cars in an attempt to be the last man moving. These are not junkers, they are racing machines with built engines and complex steel cages and safety bars to reduce but probably not eliminate injuries. The racers are passionate about winning and they are professionals. The crashes are real and the danger is real. They do it because they love it! Be there, they are free and fun! SPECIAL EVENT DAYS             Sunday August 31st: ·         Latino Day:  Latino day at the Delta Fair presented by Comcast Xfinity will feature live music in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexican Independence Day.  Music starts at 4:00 p.m. with Grupo Fascinacion, Conjunto Regressa at 5:00 p.m., and Conjunto Artardecer at 7:00 p.m.  Plus a lowrider and hydraulic car show all day.             Tuesday September 2nd: ·         $10 Ride Wristbands               Wednesday September 3rd: ·         Senior American Day: Free admission and free parking until noon for seniors 60 years of age and older.  Special events, contests, and vendors specifically geared to seniors. ·         Bike Night:  The Delta Fair & Music Festival will host the Bumpus Harley Davidson Bike Night at the fair on Wednesday September 3, 2014 starting at 5:00 p.m.  For only $10 each rider gets admission, VIP parking by the main stage, and one free 12oz. beer.  There will be a wing eating contest sponsored by Hooters at 6:30 PM, a special performance by the 1 Wheel Revolution Stunt team at 7:30 PM, and music by Will Tucker at 7:00 and 8:00 PM on the Ford Main Stage.   Thursday September 4th: ·         Food Bank Day:  Bring a canned good to the Delta Fair for 1/2 off one Adult admission ticket from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ·         Ladies Day:  The Delta Fair & Music Festival will host Ladies Day all day on Thursday September 4, 2014 in partnership with the Great American Home Store and the Memphis-MidSouth Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  This special day for women will focus on creating breast cancer awareness by encouraging fairgoers to wear pink to the fair.  Baptist Women’s Center will provide the Mobile Mammography Unit to educate and provide awareness on breast cancer from 1pm-6pm.  For each person who wears pink on Ladies Day, a $3 donation will be made to the Memphis-MidSouth Affiliate of Susan G.
