Football Offensive Star of the Season LaKeron Garcia The Millington athlete is heading to Memphis because of standout senior season. Garcia was selected as a 2013 Liberty Bowl High School All-Star and had three touchdowns in that game. Earlier in the season, Garcia scored five times against rival Brighton. In the Region championship, Walker improved his record to 29-1, unbeaten in 182, beating Collierville’s Cameron Tarver. Girls Soccer Star of the Season Courtney Carpenter Carpenter was a leader in all phases for the Brighton Lady Cardinal district championship team this past season. Along with being an inspiritaual leader, Carpenter was a statistic leader in assists and goals for Brighton in 2013.
