FIRST DAY!

Millington resident Xavier Bolton, 5, was up since 5:30 Monday morning anticipating seeing Millington Elementary personnel like Lara Landry. But once he arrived for the first day of school for Millington Municipal Schools, his mother Eboni had to break the news to Xavier that his siblings Za’Niyah, 10, and Najee, 8, would be the only ones going to class. Xavier’s first day of Kindergarten was slated for Tuesday. Eboni has participated in a few first day of school starting with her now 20-year-old Essence Pringle. Eboni said from EA Harrold to Millington Elementary, the staffs at both institutions have been wonderful to her children over the year. The fifth year of MMS coincides with new Superintendent Bo Griffin. Griffin and the members of MMS kicked off the new school year last Friday in the Harvell Civic Center.
