The Third Annual Thanksgiving Feast presented by Soul Out Ministries was held last Wednesday at the Baker Community Center at 7942 Church Street in Millington. Volunteers from community, Navy and Temple United Methodist Church prepared the food, dessert and beverages for the public invited to the meal. Joining Soul Out Ministries founder Carol Jenkins in working the event were DeWayne Sweet, Mary Montgomery, Cooper Greuling, Katie Greuling, Betty Spencer, Darlene Carter, D’Leigh Harvell, Bill Spencer, Janet Cyganek, Rob Greuling, Rose Greuling and Jartarrius Tapplin. Soul Out feed more than 100 people Wednesday afternoon.  Addition volunteers were Damille and Dehmajisha Sigee. Members of Omega Psi Phi David Bland and Eric Brent joined Sigma Lamda Lamda’s Chris Jones in helping the needy that day. Representing the Navy Base were Margaret Bagley, Leah Martin and Jason Nelson. Also present were Soul Out Ministries Board of Directors Charles P. Reed, Toni King and Mary Hobson. “We would like to give a very thanks to all who donated to Soul Out Ministries,” Jenkins said. “Making this day a blessed success. Thanks to Baker Community Center and there staff.

“Thanks to St. William Catholic Church for on Thanksgiving Day blessing Soul Out Ministries with food to feed more than 10 families that day,” she concluded. “It was a great community success.”
