Back on Sept. 9, Millington Municipal Schools debuted the new turf field of Mooney Boswell Field at the Millington Football Stadium. The varsity Millington Trojans won their inaugural game over Fayette-Academy. During halftime of that contest, MMSD Superintendent James “Bo” Griffin, Deputy Superintendent Mark Neal and Millington Central Middle High School Principal Michael Perry had a special presentation for donors who made contributions to the turf field of $10,000 or more. Those recognized for their generosity were Phil Massey, Brenda Avery, Ray Rosa, Tony Johnson, Patriot Bank (Larry Jackson) and 901 Church.
