The Millington Trojans started off last week on a good note with a district victory. The Trojans traveled to Arlington to take on the Bolton Wildcats on the Bolton Baseball Field. Millington departed from the road trip with a 15-0  win. Millington earned a win in its district debut and improved its record to 6-5 overall. Alex Jennings (1-1) got the win as he and TJ Graves combined to shut out the Wildcats. The two seniors combined to limit Bolton to three hits while striking out nine Wildcats while not walking any Bolton players. There were 62 pitches thrown by the two and 46 of them were strikes.

The Trojan offense had only four hits but took advantage of six walks, three hit-by-pitch batters and six Bolton errors.  The Trojans jumped on Bolton from the start with four runs in the first, six in the second and four RBIs in the third. Jennings walked twice and scored three runs. Matt Anderson had a double, RBI, was HBP and scored three runs. RJ Allen had a base hit and RBI and Nathan White had a base hit, two walks and scored a run. The Trojans closed out the week taking on two area private school teams losing to FACS 6-2 and St. George’s 8-4.
