Brighton High School announced tonight Robin Jacobs as the new head coach of the football team. Jacobs has been a part of the football program for several years serving in multiple roles from defensive coordinator to assistant head coach.

Jacobs will take over the position replacing Will Wolfe for the upcoming season. Wolfe departed for the position heading to Hernando, Miss. Wolfe enjoyed several winning seasons at Brighton including a 10-win campaign in 2011.

The Cardinals won the District 13-3A title this past season and reached the playoffs. Jacobs was in the middle of all the success the past few falls. In the spring, Jacobs leads the Brighton Lady Cardinal Softball team. Since 1999, the Lady Cardinals have reached multiple State Tournaments and won more than 500 games.

Jacobs will still be the leader of the softball team, and have some administrative duties at the school.
