The battle for first place in District 15-3A was intense in the William Osteen Gymnasium. The frontrunner Covington Lady Chargers arrived in town to take on the challenge of the upstart Millington Lady Trojans on the volleyball court. In a roller coaster, seesaw battle, the Lady Chargers emerged as the victors in five sets. Each set was competitive with both teams scoring in the 20s. Despite the loss the Lady Trojans are still in second place in the league. With Ripley improving and moving into the postseason picture, only the top two teams will advance from the district tournament coming up in October.
