The Millington Trojan spring sports programs are celebrating championships heading into May and the district tournaments. The Millington Trojan Soccer, Softball and Baseball teams are all District 15-3A champions with unbeaten records in league play. The Soccer Trojans led by coaches Rosemary Boswell and William Carter made it official April 25 with a 9-0 win over the Bolton Wildcats. Senior Mauricio Luna led the way with three goals in the title clinching victory. His teammate Aaron Blankenship netted two goals against Bolton. The Lady Trojans locked up the district championship in mid-April with wins over Fayette-Ware and Bolton. The Lady Trojans led by first-year Head Coach Kasey Craddock are the favorites to win the district and Regional titles in May. The Millington Trojan Baseball team had a farther road to travel to a title with Raleigh-Egypt and Craigmont fielding teams. The Trojans and Head Coach Colter Millican were undefeated in league play dominating the Pharaohs, Chiefs, Fayette-Ware Wildcats and Bolton Wildcats. The Trojans will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming district tournament.
