Greetings from the World of Real Estate with Julè. I would like to thank all of you who read this column in 2020 and hope that you will continue to do so in 2021. It is a pleasure to share ideas, whether it be helpful hits in the garden, interior and exterior areas of the home, health, cleaning tips, presentations ideas for selling your home, information for home buyers, grandchildren and various other areas. I welcome your ideas and tips to share and do believe we are here to help one another in every way possible. So, if you have something that you would like to include in this column, please do not be shy.
Have you reflected on 2020? We tend to get caught up in day to day life, and 2020 was a doozy of a year, that we don’t focus on the most important things. They just get looked over or put aside until later. Then later never comes. Specifically, what did work for you and what did not work for you? I have not been much for a writing in a journal but will give it a try this year. There will be more than one journal to keep my thoughts organized. One for work life, one for spiritual life and one for personal and health. Sounds like a lot I know but by keeping them separate, when it comes time to reflect on what changes I need to make to progress, these things will not get muddled up in one journal.”
When is the last time you called someone that just came to mind? Take a moment to call someone that you haven’t not spoken to in a long time. Both of you may get a surprise. This may be the very thing to cheer them up and make their day which in turn will make yours. Give it a try. You will be glad you did. Get their physical address, and write a quick note saying how much you enjoyed the phone visit. Personal notes really are appreciated more than you might realize. Wouldn’t you like to receive a call from an old friend?
Before you sit down to write that note remember that proper lighting is very important for the various tasks, we do on a day to day basis. Have you taken a moment in this New Year to upgrade the light bulbs in your home? By changing to LED light bulbs, you can save money on the electric bill. For instance, the bulb I have on hand only uses 5 watts to give me light that I am accustomed to receiving from a 60 watt incandescent bulb. This particular bulb features: Mercury free, A15 bulb shape and size (useful in table lamps), last approximately 2 years with usage of 3 hours per day. As you can see, LED bulbs tend to last longer. The downside to this particular bulb is that it cannot be used in a totally enclosed fixture. So please read the information on the packaging prior to purchasing.
These LED bulbs come in various shapes and sizes to accommodate lighting fixtures both indoor and outdoor used for today’s homes. Just as with other lighting, there are “cool” and “warm” effect bulbs. If you have very sensitive eyes, like me, using the “warm” bulbs may be easier on your eyes. Being sure there is adequate lighting will make life a little more pleasant for you to enjoy.
