Lightfoot Farm Market & Processing announces Grand Opening with special guest visitor Tennessee Agriculture Commissioner Dr. Charlie Hatcher.
Lightfoot Farm Market & Processing in Millington opened during the midst of the pandemic to meet the growing demand of local beef supply and fresh food options.
Now with a brand new USDA meat processing facility, retail store and monthly on-farm vendor market, the family is proud to invite the State of Tennessee Agriculture Commissioner Dr. Charlie Hatcher to formally celebrate the grand opening on Saturday.
The grand opening ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. on the porch of the Lightfoot Farm Market at 7422 Ward Road in Millington.
After a few words from Dr. Charlie Hatcher, the owners will cut a ribbon provided by the Millington Chamber of Commerce.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, Hatcher will tour both the USDA meat processing facility and vendor farm market.
The USDA meat processing facility was built in part with a grant reimbursement funds from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Corona virus Agricultural and Forestry Business Fund (CAFB)

• The business is owned & operated by 4 family members. husband/wife, Neil & Kimberly Lightfoot and husband/wife, Wesley &Ali Lightfoot.
• This 58 acre family farm opens its gates to the public on the first Saturday of each month where customers shop for fresh produce, eggs, honey, Angus beef, artisan goods, pre-made foods, and more.
• The farm market retail store located on Lightfoot Farm is open Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.-l p.m.
With more than 20-plus local suppliers you can find local foods, produce, spices, sauces, milk, da1ry and breads.
The public is invited to come and celebrate this exciting, new business in our community.
