Lions’ Outreach

The Millington Lions Club is autonomous in that we primarily help within the communities we serve; however, we also donate to the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) as it sends financial aid to disasters around the world along with responders who are often the first on the scene when there is a need. Tennessee is the 12th State in Lions and we have 5 Districts: L, I, O, N, S. LCIF recently sent $10,000 grants to three Tennessee Districts to cover the March 3 tornado disasters in District 12-I (Nashville area), District 12-O (Cookeville area), and District 12-S (Lebanon and Mt Juliet areas). LCIF also sent $10,000 to District 12-L (West TN including Shelby and Tipton Counties) for the purchase of PPEs (personal protective equipment) for our first responders and others during this COVID-19 pandemic. At this time, more TN districts as well as those in other states are also applying for additional tornado and COVID-19 relief.
