Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) approved an emergency grant for relief to tornado victims in the amount of $10,000 filed by West Tennessee 12-L District Governor Linda Overstreet, who is also President of the Millington Lions Club. LCIF also approved $10,000 grants for Middle Tennessee and several for Kentucky. One of the hardest hit areas in West Tennessee was Dresden (see the devastation in the downtown area).
