The Millington Lions Club Foundation provides services to the blind and the visually and hearing impaired in the communities of Millington, Southwest Tipton County, and Frayser in Memphis. HM2 Pierre G. St. Hillaire with the NMRTU Memphis Optometry Department on the Navy Base in Millington contacted Linda Overstreet and began donating used glasses to the Club in April 2021. These eyeglasses are cleaned and wrapped with their prescriptions noted and disbursed by Lions members and doctors to provide eye care to those in need in third-world countries.
