Make Plans For Goat Days on September 11

Goat Days is returning for one-day only Sept. 11 at the Millington Sports Complex with the Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast at 7 a.m. Festival gates will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with $5 a car (parking is limited). 

The entertainment planned for Saturday includes live music all day, craft and local vendors, multiple food vendors, the El Toro Taco and Hot Rod Barn Show and Shine Car Show benefiting the Millington Crisis Center, an Antique Tractor Show, Hot Air Balloon Rides in the morning and evening, and the KCBS Championship BBQ Contest on Friday and Saturday.

Saturday also features a Corn Hole Tournament, an all-day kid zone benefiting the Kiwanis Club of Millington, Twisted Mr. Rogers the balloon twister, a free rock wall, and more!

“We will end the day with the main stage entertainment provided by Otherlands and the Risky Whiskey Boys,” said Alex Harris with the City of Millington.

The local Millington Lions Club Foundation will host the breakfast to start the 2021 Goat Days. Members raise money to aid those in need in Millington, Munford, Atoka, Brighton, Burlison, Drummonds, and Rosemark as well as Frayser in Memphis. 

You have a chance to contribute to the Lions Club.  Gifts provide the gift of sight and hearing through eye exams and eyeglasses, auditory exams and hearing aids, and for all eye care, including cataract and prosthetic surgeries. 

“We collect and recycle used eyeglasses to third-world countries,” member Linda Overstreet said. “We gift a $50 prize to Peace Poster Contest winners at the middle schools..

“Our pancake breakfast in 2021 will be from 7-10:30 a.m. during the Annual International Goat Days Festival at Millington Sports Complex at 4885 Bill Knight Road, Millington. For your sponsorship, we offer up to 5 tickets per each $50 donation, so you can enjoy food, fun, and fellowship. Plus, your business will be listed on a banner that will be displayed at our tent during the breakfast and be seen by over 20,000 people who attend the Festival each year.”
