The Trojan wrestling team went a week and a half without a practice and two weeks without a match but nevertheless jumped right back into the fire this past week at Collierville for the Dragon Duals and on Tuesday night vs. Munford. Here’s a recap of what happened.
Stewart’s Creek defeated the Trojans 40-36.
The following wresters all won their match by pin: 113-Malik Wooten, 138-Garrett Haley, 145-Milton Yarbrough, 152-Porter White and 160-Eli Roberts.
MUS defeated the Trojans 57-12. Cole Stevens (120) & Milton Yarbrough (145) both won their matches by pin.
Collierville defeated the Trojans 65-12. Cole Stevens (113) won his match by pin while Malik Wooten (120) won his match by DEC 6-1 as did Garrett Haley (138) 13-9.
Cabot (ARK) knocked off the Trojans 53-21.
Both Malik Wooten (106) & TJ Graves (285) won their matches by pin and Milton Yarbrough (145) won his by DEC 3-2.
Tuesday night vs. Munford was a tight match with the Cougars winning 46-33.
Cole Stevens (113), Levi Smith (182), Darren Garrity (220) & TJ Graves (285) were all victorious by pin. Garrett Haley (138) won by DEC 12-3 and Milton Yarbrough (145) won by technical fall at 15-0.
Trojans are on the road tonight at Bartlett to take on the Panthers.
